let me answer u in points :
1- being a gay is not some thing that will prevent you from becoming Muslim — Since Islam expect that some one who is doing some sin he may change step by step ...and Islam have this power to make the change ..
2- being a gay is considered A sin in Islam — for God made marriage only between male n female and thus all other relations between male n female or males and males is considered a forbidden desire which must be and can be controlled ..
even sexual relation between man n woman out of marriage is considered a major sin in Islam — so if this desire to have sex with woman out of marriage can be controlled then the desire to have sex between male n male can also be controlled ..
3- its not true that a person who is gay can never change — since being a gay is a desire that comes and develop over time n can be controlled if the person is willing — same like how u control the diesre to smoke ,, or to have sex with woman who is not ur wife .
4- This entire life we are in , is a test from God — end of test is death — during the test we will be faced with some trials , problems , evil emotions n its our duty to see which is pleasing God and which is not .. n based on that we act ...
